Antitheft and alarm system

Year after year, there is a high incidence of car thefts in Quebec resulting in higher auto insurance premiums for drivers. Installing an antitheft device is an effective way to minimize the risk of car theft and to take advantage of great discounts on your car insurance premiums.

See below the list of antitheft systems that we accept:

Electronic alarm: Signals (alarm, lights) activated when someone gets close to and/or touches and/or attempts to steal the vehicle.
Startup blockage mechanism: Device that cuts off contact, ignition, or fuel supply, thus preventing the vehicle from starting.
Steering mechanism protective collar: Locking device, often called “anti-theft bar”, which is used to either block the steering wheel, the accelerator pedal or the clutch.
Marking / engraving: The vehicle’s serial number is engraved on several parts of the vehicle (e.g.: Sherlock, Vinlock).
Installed by manufacturer / smart key: Device installed by the vehicle manufacturer that cuts off contact, ignition, or fuel supply, thus preventing the vehicle from starting. Note that all vehicles manufactured since 2008 already have such a device installed.
Satellite tracking system: System that is used to locate a vehicle that has been stolen (e.g.: Boomerang).
