Protections
A means of transportation if your vehicle is disabled
In the event of an accident or loss, we offer you the possibility to use the means of transportation of your choice to ensure your daily activities are unaffected. You’ll receive up to $75 a day to pay for travel expenses: rental car, taxi or public transport.
In addition, if you’re travelling and cannot use your vehicle after a loss, some expenses may be covered. For example, if you’re driving to Rimouski from Montreal and get stuck in Rivière-du-Loup, we could pay for meals or hotel until you can get back on the road.
Insurance for rented or borrowed vehicles
What could be more embarrassing than damaging a borrowed vehicle or one provided by your employer? With Autocomfort®, you can get up to $60,000 coverage if you are held responsible for the damage.
In addition, when renting a car, you don’t have to pay for the lessor’s insurance. You can rent a car anywhere in Canada or the United States and benefit from a protection of up to CA$60,000.
No deductible in the event of a hit-and-run accident or total loss
In the event of a total loss, you won’t have to worry about the amount of deductible. In case of a hit-and-run, simply report any damage to the police as soon as you notice it and we’ll waive your deductible.
Minimum coverage for vehicles that don’t belong to you
All drivers in your household benefit from liability protection when driving a borrowed vehicle for their personal use. So you can have peace of mind knowing that your children are covered when driving a friend’s car.
