Accident with collision

If you are involved in a car accident, we advise you to call our Claims Department immediately at 514 871-7500 or
1 877 871-7500.  If your vehicle cannot be driven, we will send a tow truck to the scene of the accident. Your vehicle will be towed to the nearest certified repair shop or to your dealer in the event of a claim covered by your contract.  We will then drive you home or to your workplace, whichever suits you best.  A substitute vehicle will be placed at your disposal (if you have collision coverage and the Drive Confident Package). 

A few tips in the event of a car accident

• It is important to report to the police any accident where someone was injured or where damage appears to exceed $1,000. 
  
  
• Try to obtain the personal information of every driver involved in the accident, all passengers and any witnesses.  Also provide your own personal information to the other drivers.
  
  
• If your car can be driven, try to move it to a safe place off the road. 

Joint report

In case of an accident with collision (if no one is injured), it is recommended that you fill out a joint report that will help establish the liability of the drivers. The joint report is a declaration of a typical accident that clearly states the circumstances surrounding it. Completed simultaneously by both parties, it will help accelerate the compensation process.
