Above ground water damage
Open windows forgotten during a storm, water that suddenly starts to flow from the ceiling or a window frame, water damage can take us by surprise. Fortunately, you can be protected against sudden infiltration of water above the ground.
This protection covers damage to your property, and if you are a homeowner, damage to the building.
Sewer backup
You don’t even want to imagine the damage resulting from sewer backup. And no one can ever be completely immune, even those living on the top floor. Fortunately, with the protection against sewer backup, you are covered for the damage that occurs, the necessary cleanup, and even decontamination afterwards.
Also, in the event of sudden seepage through the foundations or simply below ground level, you’ll also be covered by this protection.
Water inlet
If your water inlet breaks down outside of your home, somewhere between the building and the city’s valve, damage to your land is covered by the Water inlet protection. Any related repair work is covered, including digging and redevelopment.
If other pieces of property are damaged by the breakdown of your water inlet, it is also this protection that will come into play up to a maximum of $10,000.
