All risks (section B1)

A combination of the two coverage options described below (sections B2 and B3).

Collision or upset* (section B2)

Collision or upset* coverage is for damage to your vehicle if you cause a collision with one or several vehicles or the accident only involves your vehicle (if your vehicle rolls into a ditch, for example, or if you collide with an object).

This insurance also covers damage to your vehicle if you are the victim of a hit-and-run.

If you choose this coverage, comprehensive (section B3) insurance will be added automatically.

*Upset means the total or partial upset of the automobile.

Comprehensive – meaning any peril other than collision or upset* (section B3)

Comprehensive insurance protects your vehicle against damage caused by things like broken windows (if a rock cracks your windshield, for example) and against damage caused by fire, lightning, theft (or attempted theft), vandalism, windstorms, hail, or floods. It also includes any damage caused to your vehicle if you collide with a person or an animal. It is generally purchased WITH collision and upset coverage (section B2) if the vehicle still has significant value or WITHOUT if the vehicle is over 10 years old.

* Upset means the total or partial upset of the automobile.

Specified perils (section B4)

This protection covers your vehicle against the perils specified on the contract, such as fire, theft, hail, lightning, etc.
